I have visited BTP on a number of occasions, be it breakfast, brunch, a coffee & a catch-up, or afternoon cake. They’re a family-friendly cafe that served all-day breakfast & brunch opitions alongside a lunch menu ft. burgers, salads & toasties; mouthwatering cakes & a variety of hot & cold coffees, milkshakes, juices, smoothies & teas.
Food: A wide variety of options tailored to everyone, vegetarian & vegan dishes all clearly labelled.
Price: Breakfast & Brunch options range from £3-£10
Perfect for: Casual brekkie, brunch or lunch dates with friends. Afternoon coffee & cake!
The Vegan- Scrambled tofu, hash browns, mushrooms, roasted tomato, baked beans & toast.
This was incredible. So many elements, nothing too adventurous with flavour but just simple, well executed food. So hearty & filling. The Vegan Boss has additional toast, spinach & sweetcorn fritters though bring a huge appetite if you want this.
They have a Daily Soup menu, often vegan served with thick granary bread. I tried the Thai Sweet Potato soup which was incredible. It was thick & warming perfect for a grey day. It has a subtle spicy kick to it with a delish cumin flavour coming through. The bread was lightly toasted adding to the comfort that this lunch brought.
The Tomato & Red Pepper soup was equally as warm & comforting, full of flavour & served piping hot.
No longer on the menu is the BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Baguette, however I included it was it defo sets the good vibes for their newly launching menu which will include a Plant Burger- Moving Mountains beetroot, mushroom & soy burger, vegan cheese, pickled red onion, Boston burger sauce, gherkins, cos, poppy seed bun.
Obviously being a cafe coffee is an element they need to nail & damn they have done exactly that! Their latters are works of art, they do amazing smoothies & one of my favs has been Iced Coffee– made with soya milk, coffee & wait for it…avocado!! Yep that’s right, they use avo to give their iced drink an amazing creamy thick consistency!
Overall, BTP has become a go-to place of mine for catch ups with friends over some quality but affordable food & drinks.
Have you tried BTP yet??
