Vegan Cakes that Deliver

I was lucky enough to be contacted by Sponges to try one of their new VEGAN CAKES.

They do a Chocolate Cake– ‘Soya milk, chocolate and vegan butter create the delicious and indulgent vegan chocolate sponge. The secret ingredient is coffee which really brings out the chocolate flavour! Nibbed cocoa pieces are sprinkled on top give some added crunch’

And they also do aΒ Carrot Cake– ‘Grated carrots, soya milk, walnuts, sultanas and cinnamon make a deliciously moist vegan sponge. Complimented with creamy vegan buttercream made from vegan butter and a dash of natural lemon flavouring. Crunched walnuts on top’

The cake came safely delivered to my door, in decent packaging & no risk of it being squashed or damaged. You can get cards to go alongside the cake in case you’re sending it for a special occasion. And cakes come in 2 sizes (serves 8 or serves 16). And they’re proper sized pieces as you can see from the photos, none of this supermarket nonsense when a tiny cake is supposed to serve 10 or something!!

The cake itself was light & fluffy & moist, everything a good sponge should be- Mary Berry would be proud. The icing was rich & creamy but not too thick & didn’t overpower the cake. And the cacao nibs added a different texture & a nice decoration. Truly a decadent cake to cater for everyone!!

I imagine the Carrot Cake would be equally as delicious. So I would highly recommend this service to anyone looking to send someone special a cake for an occasion, or if you’re having a party & need to cater for vegans & non-vegans, no-one would be missing out.
